Best Gift Ever – The Sangean Digital Shower Radio

My husband was swearing at his little shower radio every single morning.  I had to do something!  But when I bought him the Sangean digital shower radio, I never expected it would be his favorite gift of all time! He loves this radio!  Sure, it had great reviews, but I had never heard of Sangean.  And what about the price?  But, I love my man, and want him to be happy – so I bought him the best portable radio I could find.  Who knew it would be the best gift ever?
The Sangean is amazing!  We had dead spots all over our house. Reception was good for only two stations in the shower (and not the ones we liked.) The Sangean portable radio brings in all the stations we want, anywhere in the house. Ten presets make it easy to switch between stations.  No more swearing because he can't find the sports station.  He never misses the game or his favorite program on NPR, and we each have our favorite music stations programmed in.  He carries it around with him like a kid with a teddy bear!
It runs on two D batteries, which seem to last forever.  Ours has been used daily for over a year, and it's only needed new batteries twice.   I think it may be magic…
Did I mention it's waterproof?  Although it's listed as water resistant, ours fell into a bathtub of water and guess what – it floats!  The sound quality is great, too.  Everyone in the family wants it wherever they are!  This is a portable radio you can use in the shower, on a boat, by the pool, or to blast your favorite station as you wash the car or work in the garage.
Buy this radio and score some major brownie points with your honey!  Mine says it's the best gift he ever got– he brags about it to anyone who will listen.  This year, I'm putting one on my own Christmas list.  Maybe my shower radio will actually stay in the shower!

Zelda's Tip of the Day

You have an endless supply of photo corners - in your junk mail!  Just put a piece of double-stick tape on the corners of an envelope, snip off the corner of the envelope and you have an instant photo corner! Use decorative scissors and even an avid scrapbooking fan can have new and interesting ways to attach photos to album pages.
Now you have a use for old envelopes of all kinds, and you're helping the recycling effort, too!

Pink Power Tools!

Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love tools!  I can get lost for hours in a hardware store, dreaming about some project idea and how it would be so much easier if I only had this or that tool.  My collection is already respectable.  My favorite has to be my power miter saw.  I use it for all kinds of tasks, small to large. And I couldn't live without my cordless drill.  But until recently, I didn't know you could get PINK power tools!

Yes, I've seen the run-of-the-mill pink women's tool kits at the dollar store, and even those have their uses.    (Funny how those aren't the ones that mysteriously disappear from my tool box....)  But there are actual serious tools made in pink!  If I didn't already have a nice power drill, I would love the Little Pink Drill - it's an 18 volt cordless drill, it's a pretty color, gets good reviews, AND the manufacturer donates 10% of the proceeds to breast cancer research.  How cool is that?

Here are some more pretty pink tools.  Even a girly-girl needs to hang a picture now and then!  These make great housewarming or wedding shower gifts, or essentials for your daughter when she's away at school.

Zelda's Tip of the Day

When you take your clothes off their hangers to get dressed in the morning, throw the hangers into the laundry hamper.  Your closet will look more organized, and you won't be short on hangers when you do your laundry!

I've Been Mis-diagnosed!

Adult ADD – or Multi-tasking Overload?
When I was diagnosed with adult ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder,) I shouldn't have been too surprised.  After all, I've worked in fifteen different lines of work over the years!  At this moment, my computer screen has five different programs running, and ten tabs in two different web browsers open.  Laundry is running in the basement, there's an ongoing project in the dining room, and I'm putting together my new camera so I can take product photos for my online businesses.  Somewhere in the back of my mind, I know I have more to do, but trying to remember them is stressing me out!
It's a multi-tasking world out there.  Employers demand it, and the pattern is creeping into our homes like an epidemic.  Television is a perfect example.  Scenes shift by the minute, and commercial breaks are a rapid fire sequence of loud and hurried advertisements.  Even more distractions come during the show, as pop-ups remind us to watch something else, or go online to see the latest webisode.  We won't even start on kids' programming!  Is it any wonder that focus is a challenge?  I can feel my attention span dwindling by the minute!
Now that I think about it, I have been mis-diagnosed.  What I suffer from is not ADD, it's AED – Attention Excess Disorder!  There are just too many things demanding my attention!
Maybe you, too, suffer from AED!  The multi-demands you juggle each day may have already changed the way you do everything else.  Are you interested in nearly everything?  Do you crave stimulation and information?  Do you have too many favorites to count?  Are you a collector of things, people, and experiences?  You're not scatterbrained, you're just a victim of multi-tasking!
No one knows if there is a cure for AED*, but you can learn to live with it.  So, if your thoughts are all over the map, don't fight it – just travel the world and enjoy the ride!
*AED is a fictional disorder.  Please do not ask your doctor to prescribe medication for this condition.
